Projects for Durham Public Schools

RootEd in Community

What Schools Are Saying

In 2025 and 2026, Matt met with nearly every principal in DPS and asked them several questions:
– What community support could meaningfully impact your students and teachers?
– What are some pain points in leading your schools?
– What are some “nice to haves” that you could see the community supporting in your buildings?
– What do teachers and classrooms need?

The “Current Projects” list organizes many of the responses, and shows where RootEd in DPS will be connecting community resources to DPS.
